abstract = "Turbulent diffusivity expressions obtained from large-eddy
Smulations, and from convective scaling and statistical diffusion
theory are used to simulate the vertical dispersion of
contaminants from area sources under convective conditions. The
eddy diffusivities are presented in the form of nondimensional
profiles, using the convective velocity scale W, and the inversion
height Zi. The proposed expressions for the eddy diffusivity can
be employed in mesoscale and diffusion models.",
